She was born on December 21, 1941 to the late Dr Frank and Ruth Musche in Dedham, Mass where she resided most of her life.
She attended the Oakdale school in Dedham, Beaver Country Day school and received a BA from Mount Holyoke College.
Karol spent her career as a 5th grade teacher at the Oakdale school, working with several of the teachers who taught her when she was a child. After she retired Karol bought a house on the Cape in Cataumet to be near her family’s summer house in Pocasset. She then volunteered to help students in the town of Bourne and was an
active member of the Bourne Women’s Club. Karol was also a docent at Aptucxet Trading Post.
She is survived by her sister Gail Combs of Texas and her nieces, Lisa Umbach of Texas, Kathleen Triolo of Virginia, Allison Nichols of RI, Sandra Eddy of California, Jessica Musche of RI, and her nephew Steven Musche of California.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Brookdale Cemetery 86 Brookdale Ave. Dedham, MA.
