

Lois Esther Coggeshall (Gillette) of Charlton, Massachusetts passed away peacefully with family on the morning of November 8, 2025, at UMASS Memorial in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. She was 83 years old. Lois was born to the late Charles M. and Esther Gillette (Geissler) in Holyoke, Massachusetts on January 14, 1942.
Lois was a beloved and cherished individual known for her compassionate, devoted and generous nature with a loving smile. She was gentle, hardworking, honest and kind hearted. She was a Rainbow Girl and spent over 60 years in the Order of the Eastern Star. Lois grew up in Holyoke, Massachusetts where she graduated from Holyoke High School in 1960. She graduated from Green Mountain College in Poultny, Vermont in 1962. She spent time trapping and banding ducks in Maine in 1962 and geese in Delaware in 1965 with her husband, Dale T. Coggeshall. She spent many years working with computers in the Tax Collectors office in Duxbury, Massachusetts and was in the Church Choir. She raised both her son and daughter and grandson, Branden S. Coggeshall.
Lois is survived by her loving husband, Dale T. Coggeshall, with whom she shared 63 loving years, her son, Brian S. Coggeshall, and her daughter, Lori A. Buckley (Coggeshall).
Funeral services will be held at Overlook, 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, Massachusetts on November 22, 2025 at 11 am in the Chapel of the Independent Living Building and also at the Bourne Methodist Church, 37 Sandwich Rd., Bourne, Massachusetts on Friday November 28, 11am, all are welcome to attend.
