She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Mike Burak, and is survived by her three children, Christine Silverstein of Gloucester and Nantucket MA, Catherine “Cate” Banks of Gloucester MA, Michael Burak of Miami FL and her son-in-law, Deaken Banks of Gloucester. She was predeceased by her two sons-in-law, Robert Silverstein of Nantucket and Gary Orgel of Miami.
Mary was born in Blackstone MA in 1926 and raised her children in Webster MA and Newton MA, where she started her career as a Real Estate Broker. Her love of people and new experiences made this her perfect profession. In 1980 she and Mike moved to Dennis MA. She loved Cape Cod and enjoyed many solo beach walks and sunset gatherings with her friends from the Senior Center. Mary also loved to travel with friends and family. She was fun loving, quick to laugh and will be missed by all who loved her. The family will be observing a private celebration.
