Patricia M. Tarantino, a resident of Bourne MA, formerly of Arlington MA, passed away on July 14th at the age of 86. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by all her children.
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Joseph M Tarantino. She leaves behind a family legacy of 5 children, Patrica (John) Gallagher, Joseph (Cristine) Tarantino, Lisa (Robert Paradis) Tarantino, Michael (Karen) Tarantino, and Maria (Roni) Portugali.
Pat also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, significant others, and 7 great-grandchildren who adored her. She was so proud of the family she had created. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time together while getting caught up on all the excitement of their lives.
Pat earned her BS in Nursing and Education at Fitchburg State College, where she met the love of her life, Joseph Tarantino. They were quite a team and worked hard together to build their family and future. After having five children, they built a summer home on Cape Cod. This would become their paradise and retirement community.
Pat was a long-time employee for the school system in the town of Arlington MA. She started as the school nurse at many schools across the town. After pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Health Administration she moved on to lead the healthcare team in the supervisory role. She interacted with so many children and faculty through the years and left her caring nurturing mark on many hearts.
Pat was the eternal optimist and could find good in all people, in every situation. She embraced life and was a very social being.
Her kind and welcoming smile greeted many people along her journey through life; and her family knows that they are not the only ones who were privileged enough to have been touched by her grace, charm, and wisdom.
Pat will be missed by many, but memories and stories will keep her inside our hearts forever.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for Pat by her family.
