Robert Everett Burrell

Robert graduated from Oliver Ames in Easton in 1964. After graduation he worked as an independent mail courier, a bus driver for the Brockton area Transit and Verde Shoe Co. as a warehouseman.

Robert married Christina Schultz in April 1969 and to this union three children were born; Christopher, Leonette and Kerri. On August 24, 1991 Robert married Susan (Briggs) McQuaid in Pocasset.

Robert loved the Cape Cod Canal and Old Silver Beach was a favorite of his. He loved the NE Patriots and was a season ticket holder. Robert was an avid book reader and enjoyed movies. He volunteered at the Jonathan Bourne Library and Helping Paws Animal Shelter in Wareham. He also had a passion for wildlife especially wolves and owls. Above all, he especially loved being with his family and the time spent with them was cherished.

Robert is survived by his wife Susan; one son Christopher Burrell and his wife Charlene of Auburn, GA; daughters Leonette Irving of Stoughton, MA and Kerri Gonski and her husband Michael Gonski of Hendersonville, NC; step-daughter Jessie Eldredge and husband Jason of Cotuit, MA; and seven grandchildren James Murphy, Rachael Murphy, Nicholas Murphy-Santos, Samantha Gonski, Allison Eldredge, Shelby Eldredge, and Cassidy Eldredge.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 4 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 29 Armory Rd in Buzzards Bay followed by a remembrance gathering at the Trowbridge Tavern in Bourne.
