Stephen Boyd Angelique, 74, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster, Massachusetts. Born October 8, 1951, Stephen was a lifelong learner and storyteller who approached life with curiosity.
His love of travel took him across the globe, including extended time in Japan and Korea. During this time, he met his late wife, Eri. They returned to Bourne, Massachusetts, in 1999, where they lived for many years before Stephen later settled in Leominster.
Stephen was enthusiastic about education and took pride in sharing knowledge with others. Whether reflecting on his own studies, teaching English overseas, or running a tutoring company, he worked with many who came to know him as “Professor.” He had a particular interest in history, especially ancient civilizations, and spent much of his life studying, discussing, and teaching others about the past. He also had an interest in electronics and radiophysics and enjoyed ham radio, another way he connected with others while continuing to learn.
In his later years, Stephen moved to Leominster to be closer to family. He especially valued time with his grandsons, Connor and Liam, sharing stories, jokes, and conversations about the sports they loved to play.
He maintained strong ties with friends and neighbors on the South Shore, Cape Cod, and beyond, staying connected after his move. He often spoke about neighborhood gatherings and social events and enjoyed time in the company of others.
Stephen will be remembered for his sharp wit, his love of hot coffee, and his gift for storytelling. He leaves behind a legacy of curiosity and connection.
A gathering to remember and celebrate Stephen’s life will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard, Bourne, Massachusetts. Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in Stephen's name.
