Born in Valdosta, Georgia she was the devoted wife of the late CMSgt Forrest W. Carson, Sr. Mother of Forrest W. Carson, Jr. and James L. Carson, grandmother of Cody A. Carson and Brandon L. Carson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, including her good friend Patricia Carter.
While stationed in Hawaii, she was schooled in the art of ancient and modern Hula Dancing. In later years while stationed at different military bases, she organized and put on Hulu shows. Even her last years, she still remembered how to sing the hukilau song. Her hobbies were dancing, music, cooking, fishing, ceramics, collecting Beanie Babies, decorating, sewing, making doll dresses and stuffed animals, bingo, working in the yard with her flowers (Favorite: DayLily). Her favorite car was the Mustang GT and owned several of them.
Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2016 2-4 and 6-8pm at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home,16000 Annapolis Rd. Bowie, MD 20715 where a Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 10am. Interment will be in MD veteran’s cemetery, Crownsville.
