Dear Tayman family, I'm incappable of fully expressing my sympathy for your loss. I went to DeMatha with Brian and was a freshman during his sophmore year. I met Brian when we both were on the crew team. DeMatha is a fantastic place but it can be intimidating for a new freshman. Brian was one of a few sophmores who made my experience a positive one by being welcoming and friendly at all times. Please know that everyone who knew Brian will miss him and has kept him and your family in thier hearts during this difficult time.

     Our hearts are breaking for you and for all that knew Brian.  We were so lucky that our boys grew up together in the same neighborhood.  We were a true neighborhood family.  I can't remember in all the years I knew Brian ever seeing him not smiling or happy.  The boys had such fun swimming, biking and just playing outside together.  We have so many wonderful memories of Brian.  He was the sweetest boy.  He will always have a special place in our hearts.

Dear Tayman Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately I did not keep too much in touch with Brian beyond our Crew days in high school but during that short time he made such an impression on me during those days that I will never forget him. I don't think there was ever a day that went by at our practices without him creating some laughs. But he was also amazing competitor so if I ever had to fill a boat, he would definitely be one of the first I would call. I wish I could provide more comfort with words but no words can ease the pain, just temper it. I know he is with us all right now and I bet he is looking forward to being with us again soon. Brian wrote me a card while I was at summer camp in 2005. In the card he wrote a poem "Roses are Red Violets are Blue Hope you're havin fun at camp but not losin your cell phone like you know who". Brian could always make me laugh and he always made situations seem a little better. He will always have a special place in my heart.

Dear Tayman Family,

Brian was one of the best friends a man could have and he will always be remembered. Growing up, he was practically a brother to me and there are so many memories. There was never a dull moment with him; he was always a pleasure to be around. He was always passionate in what he did. I remember playing golf with him many times. He would always beat me but on one occasion I came close. On the last three holes at Glenn Dale he hit three amazing tee shots, which I couldnt keep up with and pulled away to win. He always was just a little more focused. He was and still is a major encouragement to me; he always fought through tough situations and always had a smile. I remember playing soccer, basketball, and other sports together. We were a dangerous combination; we really feed off each other. He had the same passion in high school and college. I would always try to get him to come play rugby and he would always try to get me to do crew. He will live on in the lives of everyone he touched. I am so grateful to have had such a great relationship with him. And I will always miss him. Please accept our deepest condolences.

I only know Brian from Facebook and saw that he was a really fun and good-hearted young man.  I'm so sorry for your family's loss.
