Clara Elizabeth Wood

Clara Elizabeth Wood born September 30, 1921, to Byrd and Dora Moore in Bradshaw VA. passed on April 8, 2013. She was a loving Mother and was most passionate about her family. She was fiercely independent, loved her bingo and her card games. Loved her church and she had the deepest love of her Lord and her faith. She lived to be a glorious 91 years old.

She is survived by her two children. Her son Charles Wood of Thomas, WV and her daughter Delores Bowling & her husband John of Harwood, MD.

She was the eldest of 9 children and is survived by her sister Anna Beales of Harwood, MD., Thomas Moore of Tall Timbers, MD and Donald Moore of Hyndham, PA. Her siblings Edna Davis, Edith Carbonneau, James Moore, Betty Kemp and Delores Estep have passed before her and are waiting in heaven. She also had a half sister Gladys West and half brother Harless Moore who are also there to welcome her home.

She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and their spouses. Anthony Wood & his wife Debra, Michael Wood, Charles D Wood & his wife Barbara, Gary Payne, Jr. & his wife Marion, Donna Davis & her husband Henry, and Elizabeth Derr & her husband Charles.

Her blessings continue with 15 great-grandchildren and their spouses. Sarah Hill, Rebekka Monnig, Nicholas Wood, Cody Wood, Jacob Wood, Halee Wood, Peyton Wood, Jonathon Payne & his wife Liz, Brittany Sims & her husband Shawn, Michelle Payne, Khristopher Payne, Steven House, Sarah Davis, Ethan Derr and Hannah Derr

( another little Derr is on the way).

She was also very proud of the title of Great-Great Grandmother to Abby Payne, Emma Payne, Skyler Sims, Blake Wood and Kylie Hall.

We all love you and will miss you deeply. We know that you are watching from a better place. God keep you in his lovely grace Mom, Grandma, and Me Me.
