Edward Ignatius Donoghue

Edward Ignatius Donoghue of Lanham, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Edward is the husband of the late Mary Donoghue; father of Gerald P. Donoghue and his wife Martha, Michael J. Donoghue and his wife Alyson, Mary E. Donoghue, Patricia A. Dunn and her husband Eddy, Kathleen R. Donoghue and Kevin E. Donoghue and his wife Alexis; grandfather of Joseph, Elyse, Ryan, Neal, William, Michael, Emily, Sarah, Noah, Emma and Nathan. Edward was preceded in death by his brothers Daniel Donoghue, The Most Rev. John Donoghue Archbishop Emeritus of Atlanta, Georgia and Patrick Donoghue. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 7301 Annapolis Road, Landover Hills, MD 20784. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Daughters of Charity, Sr. Clarise Correia, Villa St. Michael, 333 S.
