Joan Crocker Johnson of Bowie, Maryland died on Monday, May 3, 2010. Joan was the wife of the late G. R. Hovey Johnson; mother of Marjorie L. Johnson (Kevin Reed), Patricia M. Perez (Noel) and George R. H. Johnson, II (Julie Kim; sister of Violet Archer, Curtis A. Crocker, and twin sister Joyce Gordon; grandmother of Victoria, Gabriel, Austin and Kashmir. Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Bowie, Maryland. Inurnment will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Arlington National Cemetery. Everyone wishing to attend should meet at the Administration Building by 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
