Judy joins her parents, Paul & Mary Bobbin and two brothers, Mark & Jeff Bobbin in the eternal life.
Judy lived her life the way she wanted; enjoying warm sunshine and beautiful weather on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. She took her time to smell every flower, to listen to the wind chimes, to enjoy all living things, and take long walks along the beach. Judy spread her appreciation of the garden through her passion for landscaping to make the world a prettier place. Her big bright smile brightened everyone’s day. To share the beauty Judy saw when you were beside her was a feeling of awe and wonder. Her veneration of respect for the simplest of objects became an attachment, a feeling of oneness, a bond to things we would naively carelessly pass on by.
In our bustled lives, her freedom of undue demands could raise an eyebrow if one tried to hurry Judy to the next event. Yet in her own calm, soft and gentle way, Judy only took more time to tinker with one of life’s small gifts, as if to pass on her silent message to slow down and take time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Judy showed us all that a fond appreciation could be shared, such as a good bottle of wine, or Jack and Coke, shared with friends. Judy helped us to wake up and become aware of the things life has to offer us every day. Like the time when Judy led us to the beach on a warm night with a high tide and full moon. We crouched behind the sand dune peeking through the tall sea oats out at the simmering sea. And then from the shadows of the deep ocean, a dark spot emerged, only identifiable by the disturbance in the cashing waves. Our hearts stood still as a Loggerhead sea turtle slowly made her way up the beach and began the laborious task of digging a hole. As the turtle became entranced, she laid her eggs one by one into the hole. Only then did we approach with care. Children gasped in amazement as new life entered the world. It is moments like this that form a shared memory of the special things life has to offer, and awaken our senses of self. Thank you, Judy - for all the fond memories.
Judy’s last days were a like a peaceful Florida sunset. As you contemplate the day’s activities, the sun sinks lower and lower on the horizon. Then, in a breathless moment, as precious as was the birth of the golden sunrise, the sun sets, life sets, and everything is dimmer for those left to watch. There is never enough time to relish all of one’s life. If you close your eyes, even for a fleeting moment, you will miss it. Life is an epic journey. Time passes, and so must we all. This time, we walk away with hearts hung low and memories of cherished times held close with Judy.
Judy’s legacy lives on in her brothers Martin, Gary & Paul Bobbin. Judy’s sisters by choice, Inga Bobbin, Laura Bobbin & Sherrie Bobbin will continue to share her memories and words of wisdom with her many nieces and nephews. Judy’s family and friends will celebrate her as they continue on in their path of life.
A cremation is planned and Judy’s ashes will be returned to the waters of Florida. Celebrate her life with a smile in your heart every day, and share a smile on your face with every simple pleasure in life.
A life well lived is a precious gift,
of hope and strength and grace,
from someone who has made our world
a brighter, better place.
It's filled with moments,
sweet and sad with smiles and sometimes tears,
with friendships formed and good times shared,
and laughter through the years.
A life well lived is a legacy,
of joy and pride and pleasure,
a living, lasting memory
our grateful heart's will treasure.
