

He was born June 8, 1933 in Staunton, VA, a son of the late William Scott Phillips and Edith Irene (Barkley) Phillips.
Keith graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton, VA. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and was later awarded a Finance degree from Strayer University.
After serving in the United States Air Force, Keith worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington, D.C. After 5 years he joined Sherwin-Williams where he held numerous management positions until his retirement 31 years later.
Before moving to Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant in Ellicott City, Keith and Margaret lived in Crofton, MD for over 40 years where they were members of Community United Methodist Church and the Crofton County Club. Keith enjoyed being around water, fishing, boating and owned multiple boats for over 30 years. What Keith loved the most in his life was his wife Margaret and time spent with her. Together they enjoyed golfing, traveling, watching and attending sporting events and spending time with friends and family.
Keith is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Lou (Berry) Fogg and her husband James “Jim” of Peachtree City, GA, his nephew, Randy Keith Fogg and his wife Christine of Fayetteville, GA, his niece, Robyn Winston (Fogg) Owsley and her husband Kevin of Auburn, AL and his niece Heather Lohr Berry of Staunton, VA.
In addition to his beloved wife of 68 years, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Scott Phillips, Jr. who is buried at Arlington National Cemetery and his brother-in-law James Winston Berry, Jr. and his wife Gale of Staunton, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 12th at 1:00 pm at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home (16000 Annapolis Rd. Bowie, MD 20715). The family will receive friends starting at 12:00 pm prior to the service.
