Luis was born October 19, 1932 in the city of Dumaguete in central Philippines. He was one of seven children. He attended the Philippine Military Academy and graduated with the Class of 1955. The young officer and gentleman would soon meet his wife of 64 years, Paulita, and were blessed with three sons. He immigrated to the United States in 1968 with his young family, and settled in Maryland to begin a new career in computer programming. He was employed by the U.S. House of Representatives as a systems analyst for most of his career.
Luis enjoyed do-it-yourself projects and was equally comfortable cooking, gardening, and rooting for his beloved Washington football team. Luis was a long-time congregant of Bowie Alliance Church in Bowie MD and, in recent years, Grace Church in Lanham MD.
The devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, is survived by his sons Luis Jr. and Albert (his wife Paulita and eldest son Marcial are deceased); grandchildren Julianne, Nicholas and Katie; great grandchildren Austin and Zayn; and sisters Pilarica, Violeta, and Lourdes.
