Hurd, father of Michael William Hurd, John Leon Hurd, Cynthia Marie Wallace and Katherine Ann Ruhl, brother of Gladys Schoemaker, Mary McGuire and Dottie Overhalster, grandfather of Jennifer Newton, Casey Hurd, Shannon Whittaker, Steven Burke and Sarah Wallace, great grandfather of Hannah and Audrey Newton and Christopher, Taylor and Michael Whittaker. Family will receive friends Monday January 12, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Rd. Bowie, MD 20715 where a Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham.
