Nina P. Jenkins

On February 19, 2011 the Lord called Nina Jenkins home. The youngest of the twelve children of Archie and Maggie Payne, she was born April 26, 1926. Devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, her main vocation was to be our strength and support. In 1948 she married the love of her life John J. Jenkins (deceased). She was employed at Citizens Bank of MD Operations Center in the mid 1970s. She is survived by 5 of her 6 children; Carolyn Heimrich and her husband William; Sandra Figgins and her husband David; Gail Croughan and her husband Edward; Cheryl Jenkins and her partner Kristine Hall and David Jenkins and his wife Victoria. She is predeceased by her oldest son John M. Jenkins. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
