

Norma Brunt Coley was led into paradise by the angels on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Clarence, three loving children, Chuck (Patty) of Ohio, Tim of Maryland and Patty (Wade) of Virginia, six grandchildren, Joe, Katie, Jason, John, Will and Jim, one brother, Jim Brunt (Maryland) sister, Margie Smith (Florida), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Brunt and Mae McAuliffe and sister, Winnie Kittlestad.
Norma was born on February 25, 1925 in Washington D.C. to her parents Harry Brunt and Mae McAuliffe. She was raised in the Catholic faith in the care of the nuns at St. Vincent's School and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy (1943).
She was married on a rainy Saturday afternoon to Clarence at St. Francis Xavier on September 9, 1950 in the District. She worked for the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Justice in their typing and dictation pools before leaving to devote all of her time raising her children and caring for her family.
Norma was a beautiful woman, a devoted and loving wife, a loyal and trusting friend, a wonderful grandmother and the best Mom in the whole wide world. She touched all those who were fortunate enough to know her and all those who loved her will miss her.
Friends and family may call at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am, Friday, April 19, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Chapel, Bowie, Maryland. Norma loved flowers and they are welcome. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, Maryland.
