Sharon E. Sweeney

Sharon attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Education. She worked in the General Accountability Office in Washington DC for 32 years as an Editor. She was a Paraprofessional at Kettering Middle School for 15 years while working for the Prince George’s County Board of Education.

Sharon was an avid book reader, loved completing crossword Puzzles and watching old TV shows (especially westerns,) she was also a parishioner of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her sister, Bertie LaScola of Bowie, MD her niece, Michelle LaScola-Wehner (Scott) of Middle River, MD.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation for Sharon will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715.

Her funeral service will occur Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Anglican Church, 14111 Oak Grove Road, Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20774, where her graveside and interment will follow the service in the St. Barnabas Church Cemetery.
