My Bennett girl!  My Southern "fly" girl! The first 9 years of your career we spent everyday together in Hyattsville and the last 7 you were always a phone call or a visit away.  I thought we'd always have time for the chats, texts and continued words of encouragement, but sadly that won't be the case.  

I will miss you my friend, your smile that lit up the room, your side looks that spoke volumes, those sassy comments "to get me out of my head", the way you'd suck your teeth and  you'd keep saying Perry in that New Yorker accent, when you thought I was going all "supervisor" on you!  

I will miss the way you made your friends and family real to me with the stories you shared of them.  The pride as your family continued to grow into who you hoped they would become and the sorrow as those closest to you passed before you.  I will miss you my friend.

I wish you God speed on your journey and in your absence I will continue to lift those you loved most up in prayer.  

Happy Birthday Bennett girl, you were loved and you will be missed!

To Auntie Ann, Jordan, and Lisa,

My earliest memories as a little girl include Auntie Ann and Tracia.  I played with Tracia when we were both out mothers only children. My mother tells me, “ Tracia stayed with us while Ann was having Jordan.” I’ll never forget the days I spent riding bikes and playing with our dolls at the Bennett home in Lakeview. We even had our first piano recital together.  I attended my first “basement party” at Tracia’s house. Although we grew apart as we grew older, I remember those times vividly and will never forget. I thought of you all just this weekend while I was in Maryland and I promised that I would reach out the next time I was in MD. I woke up Tuesday morning to read on FB that Tracia had passed. My heart sank. I am extending my sincerest sympathies and condolences to Auntie Ann, Jordan, and Lisa. May your hearts be content knowing that Tracia is at peace with her loved ones that have gone before her. May you be comforted by your memories of Tracia and carry her in your hearts forever. May her spirit, strength, and stamina live on in her precious children, Khalil and Kaliyah. With love, Tanisha Denton and family

The world has lost an incredible life.  I send my sincere condolence, and my deepest sympathy to Tracie Bennett's love ones.   

During our employee appreciation week,   I hosted the Best of the 80s and 90s music on Friday May 7, 2021.     Agent Bennett expressed how much she was enjoying the music as the DJ played and I danced to every song.   As Agent Bennet cheered me on, she asked me to do the running man.  After attempting to do the running man she LOL, and said do the happy feet dance.   I manage to figure out how to do the happy feet.  I asked her am I doing it right.   She told me you got it right; LOL.     We had a great time along with other coworkers that day.   At the end of listening to music and laughing, she told me she enjoyed herself.  

Though Agent Bennett is physically gone her memories are forever.  May you find peace knowing that her spirit will never truly leave.  She will live on in the kindness she shared and the love she brought into lives.

👏🏾 You was on my interview panel👏🏾. I'm so glad you picked me to join the Hyattsville team but I've been so sad since I heard the news,  I'm keep  praying for your Kids and your family, 
I remember that you where the head of your family.  A 💪🏾 strong women that handled everything that was thrown at you💪🏾. I also remember our talks we had about life.

You and I started the Academy together and I would see your from time to time when you were in the Courthouse. I still remember our last conversation.   When I saw this yesterday it took me by surprise.  I am sadden and tearful.  It's not goodbye it's see you later.  You will be missed.  May you rest in peace.  Praying for comfort and peace for the family.  

I was deeply saddened to hear of Agent Bennett's passing.  As a mentor/co-worker I was quite fond of her.  Furthermore, I remember before the pandemic if/when Bennett (as affectionately known in the office) worked late, I would look forward to her one woman jam sessions :-) - she would crank up her boom box joyfully belting out the words to her favorite tunes...Bennett will be forever in my thoughts.  May she rest in peace and the fond memories of her bring comfort to the family.

So heartbroken to lose Tracia. I ALWAYS loved the true, honest, and heartfelt spirit she brought to our Sunday morning meeting. Thankful to know she understood what is True.  She will be missed! 


I was very saddened and shocked to learn of Tracia's passing.  She was a dedicated public safety employee with the Maryland Division of Parole and Probation.  I remember having conversations with her in the Hyattsville office and discussing how proud she was of her children, what a beautiful person she was.   She has left us much too soon.

Waiting for you to call me to tell me it is not real 💔. Hearing your voice everytime you got your hair done and had an issue... as you always thought I could fix the problem ❤️. understanding that god has put us together for a reason . If Khalil never dropped his lollipop I probably would not have offered you a wipe from my 🐢’s diaper bag  . That was over 20 years ago and I love you for ever minute that we had in life since . Our heart are broken. Tracie was like a daughter,in and out of our home from a young child until graduation from high school. She continued to be a part of the family. Praying for strength and comfort to the family.

This was a gut punch for me. I am so heartbroken.  My prayers are with her children who she spoke of and loved immensely and her brother, sister and mother. We were just laughing a couple weeks ago and now you’re gone.  You will be missed Tracia.  This is a hard one. 

I am truly at a loss for words. Agent Bennett (as we refer to one another at work) was a pleasure to work with. I always appreciated her joking spirit and her honesty, and she will truly be missed. Sending my condolences to her children and family.

Tracia was a great person. I always found her to be inquisitive and forthright. She was passionate about learning and a great co-worker.
