

Mr. Kugler was a retired Naval Aviator. A Navy Mustang, he enlisted 7 February 1952, and retired a Commander 1 Nov 1973. Mr. Kugler was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal {First Award}, RVN Campaign Medal with Device, Vietnam Service Medal {Four Stars}, and Navy Unit Commendation.
His parents, Lawrence Joseph Kugler and Dorothy (Zurn) Kugler preceded him. He is survived by sons Larry Blake Kugler and Lawrence Joseph Kugler II; daughters Vay Renee Serio, Gay Marie Vane, and Deborah Louise Imhoff; brother August Kugler; sisters Dorothy Spry, Evanell Janousek, Ernee McArthur, Elaine Mikkelsen, and Valerie Fox; grandsons Tony Kugler, Bruce Hazel, Donald Thomas, Erik Brungot, Jeremy Serio, Luke Vane, and Jimmy Hackett; granddaughters Nina Burwell, Amy Binger, April Prusak, Jessica Pope, April Demarr, Crystal Demarr, Jessica Hackett, Amanda Imhoff, and Hannah Imhoff; and fourteen great grandchildren. Grandsons Joseph Prusak Jr. and Benjamin Imhoff preceded Mr. Kugler.
Visitation is to be held 14 November 2010, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Robert Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, MD. Mr. Kugler will be interred at the Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Funeral Service to be held in the Fort Meyer Chapel adjacent to the cemetery at 8:45 AM 7 February 2011. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
