Evelyn M. Haas

Born in New Berlinville she was the daughter of the late Walter W. and Esther M. (Heacock) Landis.

Evelyn was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Boyertown. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Company. She was a custodian at Boyertown Junior High West for nine years retiring in 1978.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth E. “Rabbit”, husband of Patricia (Miller) Haas of Barto; five grandchildren, Joanne M. Haas of \Barto, John J. Haas of Gilbertsville, Joseph M. Haas of Allentown, Janet A. Wronowski of Barto and Jeffrey W. Haas of Pennsburg and seven great-grandchildren, Nicole, Jade, Justine, Dawson, Chelsea, Rachel and Jordan. Evelyn was predeceased by her young son Barry Lee Haas in 1958; also by her brother James Landis and sisters, Sara Keen and Hilda Blessinger.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Reverend Dennis P. Christie will officiate.

A viewing will be Friday between 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 35 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA 19512.
