Helen K. Zubur Smith

Born in Oxford, NJ she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Rebrey) Zubur.

She was a graduate of Catasauqua High School. Member of the Eastern Star. A member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Gilbertsville. She enjoyed knitting and photo biography.

She was a secretary to the principal at Colebrookdale Elementary School for twenty plus years retiring there.

Surviving with her husband Ralph of 61 years are two sons, David F. Smith of Collegeville and Ralph H., Jr., husband of Dianne W. Smith of Gilbertsville; one daughter, Mary Jane Smith of Gilbertsville; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Sarah, Jennifer and Matthew; one great-granddaughter, Reagan. Helen was predeceased by a daughter Nancy H. Boettner in 2000 and one brother Joseph Zubur and her twin sister Mary Gallagher.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 35 Wilson Avenue, Gilbertsville. The Reverend Chris Weidner will officiate.

A viewing will be Saturday between 9 – 10 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Slatington, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
