Joan F. Shaner

Born in Amity Twp., Berks County. She was a daughter of the late Merle (Fisher) and Edward N. Bieber.

She was employed by Boyertown Packaging which later changed its name to Alcoa Flexible Packaging for over 44 years retiring in 2006.

Joan enjoyed being with family and friends and putting puzzles together.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Joan is survived by her Son, Gerald P., Jr. husband of Paula A. (Gianlombardo) Shaner of Boyertown. Step Granddaughter, Nikki wife of Michael Krogman. Step Great Granddaughters, Abby and Georgia Krogman. A sister, Linda wife of Warren Moser of Zieglerville. She is predeceased by her brothers Daniel Bieber and Dallas Bieber.

Memorial Services will be held at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown, PA. 19512. on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Inurnment will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Boyertown.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Joan's name to the Hopewell Hospice Foundation 400 Commerce Dr. Suite C Fort Washington, PA 19034 or to the Frederick Living-Cedarwood 2849 Big Rd. Zieglerville, PA 19492.
