Mary A. Levengood

Born in Douglassville, Amity Township, PA she was the daughter of the late Lora (Moser) and J. Stanley Gross.

Mary was the valedictorian of the class of 1938 of Amity High School. She was the co-owner of Levengood Flowers with her husband. Mary was a life time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Douglassville in the past she had served on the church council and taught Sunday school, as well as being active with the Campfire Girls and was a den mother/pack leader for the Cub Scouts.

She is survived by three daughters, Janet, widow of Fred McMullen of Birdsboro, Judith, wife of James Trout of Douglassville and Jean, wife of Robert Wolf of Delaware; a son Donald, husband of Diane (Petrillo) of Douglassville; eight grandchildren, Mary Frazier, Kristine Reitnauer, James Trout, Karen Trout, John Levengood, Amy Levengood, Rebecca Woodzell and Benjamin Wolf; eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth, wife of Dennis Brooke of Bechtelsville. Mary was also predeceased by five brothers.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Douglassville.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday between 9 – 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Amityville.
