Richard Leo Hetrick Sr.

Born in Pottstown and raised in Earl Twp., he was a son of late Florence V. (Zern) and Robert “Buddy” Hetrick.

He was a dairy farmer; a truck driver for Mayer Pollack, he also worked as a safety supervisor for West Motor Freight and Kem Corp.

Richard was a member of St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church.

He was also a member of Pikeville Sportsman’s Association, the Holy Name Society and the Paxton’s Sportsman’s Association.

Richard is survived by his wife, Phyllis of 61 years; children, Linda M. wife of Marion P. Nunan of Boyertown, Kathleen A. wife of William E. Agliano, Sr. of Barto, Patricia D. Barthel of Boyertown, Brenda E. wife of Michael Burns of Boyertown and Richard L. Jr. husband of Elisa E. Hetrick of Boyertown; a brother, David E. husband of Sue Hetrick of Gilbertsville; a sister, Judith M. wife of George Shabrach of Boyertown; a sister- in-law Ester “Sue” Hetrick of Round Rock, TX.; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. . Richard is predeceased by his brothers Robert R. Hetrick II and his wife Edna “Joan” and Ronald G. Hetrick.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

Relatives and friends may call at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 111 North Reading Ave. Boyertown on Sunday, March 27, 2016 from 6-8 PM. and Monday at church from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.

Interment will be in Hill Church Cemetery.
