William Myers, 97, of Boyertown passed away on Monday June 4, 2018 in his son’s residence with whom he resided. He was the husband of Ellen V. (Butterfield) Myers who passed away on August 31, 2011. They were married on April 15, 1952
Born February 3, 1921 in Manheim, PA, he was a son of the late John H. and Elsie (Elslager) Myers.
He was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army as a technician in the 121st Field Artillery Battalion 32nd Division in the Philippine’s.
William was a lifelong truck driver working for West Motor Freight for 37 years. After retiring, he drove for Rader’s and also worked for his son David.
William is survived by his children, Reagan “Rick” Myers of South Dakota; Diane E. (Myers) Barrett of Bechtelsville; David W. Myers (Deborah) of Boyertown and Mark W. Myers of Mertztown. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on July 7, 2018 in the Limerick Garden of Memories Mausoleum of the Good Shepherd Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00.
