Born in Tampa, Florida, Cheryl was living in Arizona when she met and married Tunc Sozerman. The Sozermans moved to Haddonfield, New Jersey, where they raised their sons, Emre and Erol.
Cheryl exhibited an eclectic style in home decorating that included Egyptian, French and Italian influences. She enjoyed finding the diamond in the rough and getting a good deal on purchases!
Cheryl was a spiritual and open-minded person, which made conversation easy. She read romance novels to relax and watched campy sci-fi movies for fun.
These are among the qualities that made her a great mother to her two sons.
When the marriage ended Cheryl supported herself as a bookkeeper for a law firm in Haddonfield, NJ.
She met a man named Larry who became her dear companion. One of their favorite activities was to go fishing from his boat in the morning, and then eating their fresh catch in the evening! After Larry's untimely death from cancer, Cheryl retired and moved back to Tampa, FL, to be near her family.
She is survived by her son Emre and granddaughter Kalani Sozerman, son Erol and wife Allison Sozerman, her mother Eleanor Pinyan and six sisters: Nancy, Caroline, Deborah, Wanda, Darlene and Sandra.
