Ernestina found great joy cooking for her family and working with flowers, both in her garden and on the farm. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Apolonio J. Collazo Sr., and her brother Felipe Jimenez. She is survived by her children, Apolonio J. (Barbara) Collazo and Doris Collazo; her grandchildren, Angelina Collazo, Joseph Collazo, Julia Collazo, Christina Collazo, and Jacqueline Collazo; and her siblings, Eugenia Jimenez, Raul Jimenez, Ruben Jimenez, Tomas Jimenez, Rafael "Felo" Jimenez, and Carmen Collazo-Jimenez.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Lane, Bradenton, FL 34211. Ernestina will be laid to rest at Puerto Rico National Cemetery beside her husband.
Her love for family and nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
