Jerry Dalton Garris, 80, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on March 24, 2023. He was born in St. Phillips Hospital in Rock Hill, SC on October 3rd, 1942 to the parents of Henry Boyd Garris and Beaulah Lorraine Stallings. He attended Graceville High school in Graceville, FL and graduated in 1960.
Jerry spent his career as a Trucking Executive and was a member of Medulla Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors whether hunting or fishing any chance he could. On Sundays, he loved watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play Football. His Humor, fun nature and “Crusty on the outside and mushy in the middle” personality will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his Daughters, Shari Lynn Patch and Lori Anne (Paul) Keirn, Son Jerry D (Heather) Garris, Grandchildren, Lisa Brackin, Michael (Kristin) Patch, Stephen (Kaley) Patch, Samantha Patch, Joshua Schuettler, Jerry Edwards, Andrew (Ashley) Schuettler, Nicholas (Andrea) Schuettler, Mary Beth Schuettler, Ty Garris and Brooke Garris, and 19 Great Grandchildren.
