Monika Adrianna Templeman

Monika Adrianna Templeman of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, daughter of Richard and Elisabeth Severs, born September 28, 1954, age 69, passed away surrounded by her family on August 13, 2024. She was a dynamic leader, brilliant attorney, loving mother, wife, grandmother. Monika’s compassion, strength, generosity, love of life and adventurous spirit will continue to be felt by her family, friends and community.

Monika Templeman had a successful career as an attorney and served as the nation’s Director of Employee Plans Examinations for the Treasury Department. She overcame many obstacles throughout her life and managed to complete law school at a very young age while caring for two young daughters. After an accomplished career as an executive leader, Monika Templeman retired and began taking on new roles of leadership in her community of Lakewood Ranch. She served in many roles for the Lakewood Ranch Women’s Club, including President & Publicity and Fundraising Chair. She was passionate about organizing charity events to contribute the amazing work of those who support children and families in need.

Her greatest joy was going on beautiful adventures and showing her family the world. She was a devoted grandma and cherished time with her daughters, husband and friends. She was also the “mom” to her beloved dog Leo and insisted on cooking him a nightly a dinner of salmon and broccoli. She loved going on fast boats and cruises, whale and dolphin watching, being on the ocean, visiting botanic gardens and exploring Europe.

Monika will be greatly missed by her husband James Templeman, her daughters Tami Wardell and Ariella Butcher, her grandchildren Ayden Wardell, Jasmine Hutcherson and Naomi Hutcherson and her good friends who she referred to as “sisters of the heart.”

Services will be held at Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center at Lakewood Ranch, 4310 Solutions Lane Bradenton, FL 34211. They will take place on August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow from 12:00-2:00 pm.
