She was born Patricia Hill on November 23, 1952, in Philadelphia PA and moved to Sarasota with her family in 1969. She graduated from Riverview High School and later earned Associate in Science (Cum Laude) and Associate in Arts (Cum Laude) degrees from Manatee Community College. She retired after 44 years of service from the Sarasota Herald Tribune and enjoyed traveling with her family. Patricia and her husband were charter members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sarasota and served as Eucharistic Ministers.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Kristin, Bradenton; brother, Stephen (Mary), of Gainesville; and numerous other cherished family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (“Chuck”); son, Jason; parents, Harold and Louise; brothers, Harold (“Sonny”), David, James; and sister, Carolyn.
A Catholic Mass celebrating Patricia’s life will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Community, St. Joseph’s Chapel, in Lakewood Ranch on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne, PA at a later date.
