Born on July 5th, 1949, in Queens Village, New York, Rick lived a life marked by quiet strength, devotion to family, and an appreciation for the little joys that make life meaningful. On January 12th, 1974, he married his lifelong love, Rosemarie (Giannini), beginning a beautiful partnership that spanned more than 50 years. Together, they raised two sons, Scott and Matthew, who brought immeasurable pride to his life.
Rick dedicated 23 years of service to the Metropolitan Transit Authority, where he was known for his reliability, hard work, and integrity. After retiring in 2001, he and Rosi moved to Florida to enjoy retirement near their growing family.
A passionate car enthusiast, Rick especially loved Corvettes and was a proud member of the Skyway Corvette Club. He also found great joy in bird watching and spent many peaceful evenings searching for alligators at sunset — a favorite pastime that combined his love of nature and adventure.
Rick's greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather to Emma, Dominick, and Gabriella who lit up his world. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosi; his sons, Scott and Matthew; and his cherished grandchildren.
Rick was predeceased by his parents, George and Florence Aloy, and his sister, Jeanne Faetsch. He is lovingly remembered as a brother-in-law to Edward and Patricia Kehn, and as a devoted uncle to Lisa, Michael, Allison and Jamie.
Richard's gentle presence, kind heart, and steady love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so dearly and in the countless memories shared with those who were lucky enough to call him husband, dad, papa, and friend.
A visitation for Rick will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Robert Toale & Sons Celebration of Life Center, 4310 Solutions Lane, Bradenton, FL 34211, followed by a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
