Abelardo Salonga Bustos Jr.

It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Abelardo Salonga Bustos Jr. on November 16, 2023 at Brampton Civic Hospital with family by his side at the age of 78. Survived by his loving wife Vicenta Bustos for 55 wonderful years. Beloved father to Jan Ariel, Jared Brent and Roselyn, husband Rey. Cherished Papa to dear Reyden and Roshell and to his loving nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Loving brother to his sisters, Teofista Jr., Elizabeth, husband Willy, Ofelia, husband Tom, Miriam, husband Lim, Richelia, partner Mario, Nancy, husband Esmer, Loren, husband Jojo, Vicky, Catherine, husband Carlos. Loving brother to his brothers, Pancho, wife Evelyn, Elvis, wife Ledwina and Charlie, wife Derlyn. He was wonderful person and will be missed dearly by many.

He was born on May 17, 1945 in Philippines to Abelardo Bustos Sr. and Teofista (nee Salonga).

He worked as mechanical inspector most of his working years. In his early years, he loved to play tennis with friends in the U.S. and enjoyed playing cards”41” with his sisters and brothers.

His legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will take place at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Rd, Brampton, Ontario on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 4pm-8pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at 11am, at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 300 Balmoral Dr,, Brampton, ON. Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga, Ontario.
