Benjamin a.k.a Louie slept in the Lord on Dec. 13, 2019 at his home in Mississauga, Ontario. He was born on March 14, 1954 in Mabini, Batangas, Philippines. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Carmen; sons Bj and Carlo and his most favorite daughter, Kristen and four grandchildren – Jaydin, Skye, Ben and Kobe.
Louie was known for his generosity, especially by new immigrants . He was very proud of his beloved adopted country and took newly arrived friends to Niagara Falls. With exaggeration, perhaps he has been to Niagara Falls 1000 times during his 30 years in Canada. He has helped hundreds of new immigrants find jobs and even allowed a few to live in his home while they were settling down.
He loved eating and “kaldereta” was one of his favorites. He truly loves the Lord and he was a member of Mississauga Filipino Seventh Adventist Church. Contrary to his wife’s wish, he does not want to be cremated. He said, “I don't want to weigh much less than when I first came to Canada.
Louie allowed God to fight his cancer. He was given 3 months on diagnosis in 2014 but God stretches this time to 4 years, 11 months and 10 days. He said that God was truly generous!
Many loved him and he will be sorely missed.
