Dear Family and Friends of Bill,

 Memories of Bill: 
 Talk around the dinner table in Vancouver was that Gail had met this guy named Bill and that they were dating.  As a bit more time passed, Bill must have been feeling pretty confident about Gail because we started to get the news from back east about wedding bells next summer. Invitations were sent and before long, we were all in Toronto for the excitement of meeting Bill and being a part of their wonderful wedding preparations and ceremony.   It was a perfectly sunny day with a nice wind to keep us sort of cool and to blow the ladies hats and Gail's veil around.  But the best part was the joy and happiness that Bill shared with Gail and all of us on their wedding day.  We all knew that they were perfect for each other.  Irene at age 97 remembers someone who helped themselves to a lot of beer at the wedding reception by loading up their vehicle at the back door.  Apparently the eye of an uncle discovered this and…………
Irene remembers that Bill and Gail had a cat who liked to climb the curtains. Did they get rid of the cat?-no they kept it for a long time.  And then they got another cat and then a dog and then another dog and then another dog…………. Bill always liked to add some extra humor to a situation.  Why leave things ho hum when you can spice them up a little bit more with an extra chuckle.
Bill enjoyed all those Christmas's in Arizona.  He tried to coax David to not risk injury by going on the roof to put up the Star of David but David did it anyway- like he had done every year. Going to the greyhound dog races was one of Bill's favorite things to do down there.
Other memories of fun were when we all went to Las Vegas and on the way home Bill was asked to step aside for an extra security check at the airport.  We waited and watched as Bill had to remove his shoes and then his belt and then his sweater for the pat down.  It became the funniest scene because the inspector was so serious about his pat down but we couldn't help laughing knowing that innocent Bill would be the last person on earth to find anything on. 
 One year at Christmas, a bunch of us were playing Pictionary.  Bill got a really tricky card that said draw a paper bag.  You wouldn't thing so but a paper bag is a really hard thing to draw.  Finally after much guessing we had to succumb and let Bill tell us that he had drawn a scrunched up paper bag.  We were so relieved and in hysterics to know what he had drawn. 
I would go on but time will not permit.
Onward in victory, Bill.  The Star of Bill is shining brightly!!!

Gail I am so sorry to hear of Bills sudden passing...We will miss him so much at Bingo on Wed with his laugh and silliness. I didn't know you long but enjoyed your company on our many trips. My thoughts are with you at this time...Nancy Orchard

Gail we will miss Bill very much. We loved  having you two over all the times and sharing special occasions with you. we will continue to have our time together and keep Bill close in our thoughts  always. We love you and are here for you always. RIP Bill. Xoxo

It can be so hard to face the new year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
