Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on December 10, 1925, Eileen passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday January 2, 2015, at the age of 89. Predeceased by her husband Bert, sister Molly and brothers Thomas, Andy and Martin. Eileen was the loving mother of Lorraine (Gary), Karen (John) and Terry (Debbie) and was grandmother to Jennifer, Nicholas, Kevin, Matthew, Lee and Sara. Eileen moved to Canada with her husband and family in 1970 and had made many friends over the years. She enjoyed her retirement years with Bert in Florida and Gravenhurst before moving back to Brampton. She was a member of the Knightsbridge Senior Centre where she took part in line dancing, bingo and trips to the Casino. She will be greatly missed by family and her many friends. Thank you to all the nurses and doctors in the Palliative care unit at Brampton Civic Hospital for their kindness during this difficult time.
Friends will be received at Andrews Funeral Home, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, Ontario L6T 5N9, at 10:00 a.m. on January 9, 2015, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Eileen's name may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital.
