With great sadness after a courageous battle with cancer, Eleanor passed away on December 27, 2011. Beloved wife of Jim, loving mother of Caroline, Pauline, Margaret (Barry), Lynne (Frank), and Jamie. Predeceased by her brother Patrick McBrearty, Medicine Hat, Alberta and her parents Frank and Bridget McBrearty, Glasgow, Scotland. Cherished Nana of Yvonne, Paul, Zachary, Joshua and Claire. Will be sadly missed by her sister Moira, all of her extended family and many dear friends. Visitation will be held at Andrews Community Funeral Centre on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 2pm–4pm & 7pm-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. Cremation to follow. Donations can be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Wellspring Foundation
