John, known to many as JB, was born on May 29th, 1960, to Marie and Arthur Boyne. Growing up in the heart of Dublin, the Liberties served as an important backdrop to his adventurous childhood. An avid swimmer, rower, and fisherman, JB loved being around water. In his youth he cycled around Ireland and was able to explore many parts of the world.
After spending a year in Australia, JB emigrated to Canada with his wife Yvonne. He worked for over 30 years as a machinist and tool & die maker at Massiv Die Form.
JB and Yvonne had three children together. With his family, JB was able to pass on his love of Chelsea FC, weekend auction hunting, and telling stories by the fire. Entertaining with friends and family always brought a smile to his face as he was able to provide a listening ear and a sharp wisecrack.
JB will be missed by his devoted wife of 36 years, Yvonne, as well as his four children: Eoin, Sarah (Jay), Sean (Lisa), Colum (Alysha). He was a proud grandfather to Patrick and Carrington. He is also survived by his siblings Treasa and Arthur, as well as extended family members. JB was predeceased by his mother, father, and brother Luke.
