It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry John Thomas Elliott on March 12, 2026, at the age of 79. Larry passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Susan Elliott, after a long and fiercely fought battle with ALS.
He is the loving Father of Shannon Seely, James Seely, Mark Seely (deceased) and Erin (Ian) Holman. He was the proud Papa of Eric Hazlett, Taylor Seely, Damien Seely (deceased), Jarah Holman, Bryanna Seely, Alex Seely, Jessie Seely, Sam Elliott, Emma Seely, Ethan Brooks and Charlotte Legere. He was the proud great-grandfather of Hunter Steinhoff and Blake Steinhoff.
Larry was born on August 29, 1946, in Belleville, Ontario to the late James and Kathleen Elliott and younger brother to Lois (Harold) Yellowlees. Larry moved to Brampton, Ontario in the mid-1960’s, where he had a successful career at Northern Telecom and after his retirement, transitioned to a long-haul truck driver.
Larry was a dedicated member of the Huttonville Lion’s Club and enjoyed spending his free time helping his friends and family before having to slow down as a result of his ALS.
He will be cherished forever in our hearts, deeply missed and forever loved.
At Larry’s request funeral arrangements will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS Society of Canada. Please dedicate the donation in Larry’s name.
