It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the Connor family announces the peaceful passing of Marie Therese (Molly) Connor at Etobicoke General Hospital at the age of 96. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends throughout her final days.
Beloved sister to Margaret Miller and brother Denis Connor. Loving aunt to Susan Janes, Elizabeth McLeod, Patricia Cowmeadow, Mary Connor-Brooks, Kathleen Charron, Valerie Connor and Josephine Marcolla. Predeceased by Margaret Miller, Susan Janes and our parents Albert Alexander Connor and Mary Shirley Connor.
Molly will be missed by all members of her family and numerous friends. Her neighbours loved her. She was a superb photographer and, aside from taking pictures of flowers and landscapes, she created family histories for all the members of our extended family. She was much in demand to take family pictures of her neighbours’ families. Molly never married, and instead treated her nieces as her children.
Molly was born in a little town in India called Chittoor. She went to school in convents in India. She loved music and excelled on the piano. After completing High School, she went to Secretarial College. She came to Canada in 1964 and worked as a secretary in the aircraft manufacturing company called DeHavilland. This company changed hands and finally ended up as Boeing. She retired at age 65 and lived with our mother in her house until our mother died in 1996. Molly continued to live in this house until her death on January 8, 2025.
A memorial funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:30am at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 300 Balmoral Drive, Brampton, Ontario. Family is inviting friends for a time of memory sharing and at a catered reception at Andrews Community Funeral Centre, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, Ontario following the Mass.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Molly may be made to the Canadian Jesuit Missions who do charitable work around the world.
