He was 87. Paul passed peacefully in the company of family. His death occurred as a result of injuries sustained after a fall on October 18, 2024.
Paul was predeceased by his parents Marguerite (nee Gifford) and Clarence Graham Carmichael, his brother David Graham and his twin brother Peter Gifford.
Paul was the nephew of Franklin Carmichael of the Group of Seven.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Glenna (nee Bushell), son Glen (Heather), daughter Andrea (Rob), Son Brian (Jane), both deceased, daughter Susan (Paul), son Rob (Bibiana), daughter Karen (Steve), and daughter Jane (Kevin).
Paul was the Brother-in-law of Barbara and Robert Martin and uncle of Josh (Shelly), Martin and Julie (Gary) Kuiper.
Cherished Grandfather of Courtney, Maegan, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Brandon, Brianna and Lucas.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the ER staff at Collingwood Hospital and the Dr's and nurses in the Palliative care unit at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.
A visitation will take place on Saturday November 9th from 12pm- 1pm at Andrews Community Funeral Center followed by a service at 1pm in the chapel.
