Pauline Anne Menezes

Sorrowfully, we announce the peaceful passing of Pauline Menezes (nee Banks) on Saturday, May 9, 2026, with family by her side in Brampton, Ontario at the age of eighty-eight.

Beloved wife and best friend to Gilbert Menezes for sixty-seven wonderful years. Cherished mother to Trevor (Christene), Nigel (Julie), Philip (Ginni), Michele (Matt), Alison (Christopher). Dear grandmother to Amanda, Dylan, Erica, Tiffany, Shelby, Rebecca, Joshua, Michaela, Zachary, Benjamin, Krystle, Shannon, Austin and four great grandchildren Braelynn, Kane, Hudson, and Iris with one more expected soon.

Pauline was born on December 31, 1937, in Yorkshire, UK, to the late Sydney and Annie Banks and was a big sister to her now deceased brother, Alan (Faye).

After meeting and marrying Gilbert in British Guyana, they spent several years living in Jamaica, making many friends throughout the Caribbean before finally moving to Canada.

Between the years of raising her children and doting on her grandchildren, she had a career as a manager at Hudson’s Bay Distribution Centre.

Her legacy of love, compassion and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. The Family invites relatives and friends to share their memories of Pauline during the memorial visitation, held at the Andrews Community Funeral Centre on Friday May 22, 2026, from 5pm to 6pm. A celebration of Pauline’s life reception will take place immediately following the visitation in the lounge of the funeral home at 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Society Peel (ASP).
