Vince and Laura O'Hearn here................we met Ray when we moved to Leeshore Estates.  We became fast friends with him.  Lots of laughs and boy, we traded the best dirty jokes!  Ray was one of a kind.  We look across the street from us and expect to see Ray poking around in his garden, but he's not there anymore.  But his spirit is with us and we'll never forget him.   We have his rubber boots that he used to do his gardening in, in the mucky, wet weather.  Plus some other things he gave us to remember him by.  He was family to us.  God bless...............................

I am saddened by yourloss and the many years it had been since I've seen Uncle Ray.  He always seemed to have a bright smile and a gleam in his eyes.  The last of his generation in the family and he will be missed.  Love, your cousin Rob Hestbech.

I have fond memories of Uncle Ray he always had a smile on his face and ready to joke around. His death was a loss for all of us. He was the last of that generation in our family. I remember taking that picture of Mom, Letty, and Ray the last time we went to Letty's after dad died. My prayers are with all of you and your families. I am so sorry for your familys loss, your Dad was a wonderful man. I knew him when I was a teenager, so I was a bit afraid of him...me and Donna were rascals then! He said "you can always tell if a home is genuinely clean by checking the soap dish, cos if they tidied for you that won't be clean".....I keep a clean soapdish cos of that man!
