Robert Winston Williams

Robert was born on June 23, 1948, in Kingston, Jamaica. He attended the then named St. Aloysius Boys School on Duke Street in Kingston. He started his working career at an early age at a local print shop.

Robert was a loving husband to Paulette Salmon, devoted father to Roxanne Williams and Roshaun Tate and stepfather to Karen Burton and Donald Salmon. Cherished grandfather to Daniel Roshaun Carrington. Robert will be missed by his siblings George Williams, Tyrone Williams, Anthony Williams, Jacqueline Williams Thomas, Christine Williams Lewis, Oswald Williams, Kevin Mark Williams and Walton Philibert ‘aka’ Wally William and cousins Paulette Hutchinson, Ivy Adlam, Claire Bryan and many others including his nieces and nephews, dear friends near and far, too numerous to mention by name.

He was predeceased by his parents Oswald Williams and Olinthia Burrel Williams and his brother Douglas Williams.

Robert was a devoted Christian, who attended the Bramalea Baptist Church religiously every Sunday until his health declined in January 2026 and he could no longer attend. Robert’s courage and profound faith will forever inspire all those who knew and loved him and he will be dearly missed by many.

Following his resignation as an engraver at Smith Thompson and McLean Engraving company, he migrated to the United States of America where he lived for several years. After living in the USA for a while, he moved to Canada to be with the love of his life for 50 years, his wife.

He worked for a few years at the No Frills Supermarket (410 and Queen Street – Brampton) in different positions, where he retired from in 2018.

He never stopped reading his Bible, singing religious songs and other genre. Robert loved to sing.

A Celebration of Life service will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 12pm in the chapel of Andrews Community Funeral Centre - Bramalea Chapel, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, Ontario, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. His memory will live forever in our hearts.
