I met Sekou in grade 4, at St. John Fisher elementary. Sekou was very special in that he was always very kind and genuine. And I mean ALWAYS. Sekou had a heart of gold and was never mean or malicious to anyone.  It made it easy to love him. Becoming his friend and spending time with him, was one of the highlights of my childhood. He could always find a way to make you laugh. I still remember the many days we sat infront of our super Nintendo's playing and laughing for hours.  Sometimes at my home and sometimes at his. Going to eachothers bday parties.  I cherish those memories deeply.  Although we grew apart as we became adults, whenever we ran into eachother, it was as if not even a day had passed.  My heart is broken by the fact that he was taken so young.  Sekou is one of the best people I ever had the pleasure to meet and to call my friend. If everyone was a little more like Sekou, the world would be a much better place. Rest in peace my brother. We love you and we miss you.

Sekou was my favorite and loving nephew. I will always cherish and remember fond memories of his childhood days spent with me in Jamaica. I recall taking him to school each day and remember one day when I went to pick him up from school, I saw a little girl walking beside him carrying his school bag and he said to me, "aunty I like this girl". I was very surprise when he said that. I could only say I realize that because he was just about 5 years old. 
I miss you so much Sekou. Rest in Peace and may god bless and strengthen his mom Dorothy and the rest of the family.

I have met and worked with Sekou a few times over the last 2 years in the film industry. While we were not close it was always easy to share smiles a few words with maturity and Grace in our interactions. I always enjoyed witnessing Sekou's beautiful beaming smile, open eyes, and super chill and quiet presence. 

The film industry can be a very busy frantic place so I too will take your lead and be a grounded peaceful pleasant force to make the world a warmer place.

I have worked with Sekou on Set for the past 10 years. He was always nice and showed me what it s like to follow your dreams and work hard for it, to not have any shame on what other people may think while striving for better.
 He had a big heart and was generous when he could. I truly saw Sekou as a friend on set as  I knew I could talk to him about anything and he would find a way to lift up the mood when he could with his smile at the end of a sentence and a wise answer. 
I will miss him but for the foremost he will be remembered for staying real and being this exceptional being that would see past the horizon. May he rest in Peace. He is in the Kingdom of Heaven rest assured.

I remember mentioning to you in the gym about needing headshots and you followed up with a referral for the best photographers in the city. It’s another kind of hard to say bye to loved ones who represented life and being alive when they lived. We’ve had too many fond memories with Sekou to recount but my favourites were when we met outside of work to watch UFC at sports bars. He always made the night 10 times more fun by commentating on the fights in different voices. They simply don’t make’em like him anymore. He had/has a beautiful soul that stood out amongst the rest.

It was a shock to learn of Sekou's passing. We frequently worked  on set together. His bright spirit always made the difficult days pass by more pleasantly. He was a talented artist and a very compassionate person. It his hard to accept he is gone...but Sekou will be and is already missed dearly by the many people he met on his life's path.

My deepest condolences to Sekou's family.  I looked forward to seeing him in class at goodlife each week.  We'd chat about gaming and ufc before class each week.  Always so kind  and polite, it was hard to feel down when Sekou was around.  He was a bright light filled with energy and only positive vibes.  He will be missed by so many. 

Sekou is the purest of souls and he always used to perform his different voices and often let me hear his new scripts and what he was working on.  Everything that he did in life, every moment was from the heart.  Went he was in the room, I felt like I was a young child in awe again.  He had different characters he liked to share and each one was magical and he would always make everyone feel loved, safe and happy.  What a kind person.  He always said I inspired him to take more classes and actively pursue voiceover work, and I never really understood why (I was not even at all as good or as passionate as him by a long shot) but he always told me that and always reminded me each time I saw him and shared new characters and accomplishments and successes, I was always inspired by him and told him he was awesome, and just the most inspiring and genuinely good person, which he was.  Sekou always made it easy for me to relax and be myself near him, he was definitely a trustworthy and genuine person with the most amazing energy.   The world lost a pure soul, and may Sekou's spirit live forever in this world and the next and may God guard and keep him and his loved ones safe in this world and the next.  Thank you Sekou for being my friend.  Thank you for being a friend to everyone you meet.  You always knew how to make everyone feel special and cared for.  May God care for you and make keep a special place for you for all eternity.  You deserve the best.  Hope to see you again some day.  Going to miss you until then, and  you'll be forever in my heart and mind.  Thank you for being you <3  You're probably everyone's best friend in Heaven already in the short time you've been gone.

I first met Sekou on the series "Alphas".  He was so excited that it was his last day that he needed for his 1600 hrs. He did so much in the brief time since then.  We would always joke around when we worked together.  His positive outlook on life was refreshing and infectious. We played monopoly often on his Nintendo in holding.  He will be dearly missed. RIP buddy.

I worked with Sekou on the show Wayne. We had a good laugh about how we were almost the same age, yet he was cast as a teacher and I was cast as a young teen student. He did not think he looked like a teacher haha. Between takes we compared ages and roles with fellow actors there and could not stop laughing. We also played a guessing game to try to guess who was cast as a teacher and who was a student, based on appearance, and then we'd share our real ages and laugh.  It was definitely one of the most amusing work days. Sekou was super nice and had a smile that could light up a room. The film industry lost someone great, but his memory will live on in everyone he met. Sending lots of love to his family. Keep dreaming big and spreading kindness every day... that's what Sekou would want. He would want you to find things to smile about every day.  I'm so sorry this happened to you Sekou, but you DID make your mark on the world... a bigger mark than you know. 

Sekou was a kind, humorous, gentle soul. We always shared a lot of laughs and jokes together. At any moment a very mundane moment can turn into a time full of laughs when he was around. Whenever I saw Sekou he made me feel like a superstar. He was so full of light and energy... regardless of the situation, weather or circumstances. The entire room could be complaining and he would remain positive. I always admired that.  

I also often saw Sekou studying and practicing different character voices... he was giving it his all to be the best he could be. I’ve never seen anyone so dedicated. My heart breaks to hear this news and I’m sending my condolences 💐 

I’m at a real loss here. You were always such a kid at heart. Your laugh, your energy, everything about you. It makes no sense you are not here anymore;( seeing your friend profile on my Switch now will be really hard to look at  but you rocked everything you wanted to. Just wish you could have rocked more. A great friend. Work was always going to be fun when he was there. Loaned me his credit card for parking when I forgot my wallet. Had a great visit too at his place in Brampton for an 8hr session of video games.

Sekou was always so kind and genuine. He was extraordinary in his sincerity in wanting to see everyone happy. He gave a lot in his way of being and my memories of him are many with the biggest warmest smiles and laughing. I will miss him and the lightness he brought to the world. 

One of the kindest men, he always had a smile and made everyone laugh. His kindness was infectious and he left a deep impression on me and everyone I know. We were the same age and he was one of the first people I met in acting years ago and I will always appreciate his part in my life.
