In Loving Memory of Alfonso Pacheco (1932 – 2026) Today we honor the life of Alfonso Pacheco, who passed peacefully at the age of 93. A man of unwavering faith and profound humility. Alfonso’s life was a beautiful testament of devotion to his wife, his family, and his community.

For over 60 years, Alfonso worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He began his career with the City of New York as an Elevator Mechanic with the New York City Housing Authority. Through dedication, he rose to a management position, where he became an exceptional mentor and teacher, guiding new trainees and providing invaluable on-the-job training . He took great pride in his work and developed a wonderful rapport with colleagues and friends across various communities in the Bronx. Upon retiring, he found great joy in life’s simple blessings—whether he was gardening, planting fruits in his backyard, working around the house, or taking meticulous care of his lawn. He was always available to help his neighbors whenever they needed a hand.

Alfonso’s heart for service extended deep into his community. As a founding member of the Hispanic Methodist Church in Brandon, he served his congregation faithfully for many years. He warmly welcomed people as a Church Greeter, participated in the men’s group, volunteered at events with a servant’s heart and a willing spirit.

Alfonso leaves behind a legacy of inner strength and quiet grace. He will be remembered for his warm, welcoming smile, his deep love for his family, and his humble devotion to his faith. He is survived by his two devoted daughters and their husbands, along with his beloved granddaughters. “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord”. Matthew 25:23 .

A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida. Entombment to follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

En Memoria de Alfonso Pacheco (1932 – 2026) Hoy honramos la vida de Alfonso Pacheco, quien falleció en paz a la edad de 93 años. Un hombre de fe inquebrantable y profunda humildad; la vida de Alfonso fue un hermoso testimonio de devoción a su esposa, a su familia y a su comunidad.

Durante más de 60 años, Alfonso trabajó incansablemente para proveer para su familia. Comenzó su carrera con la Ciudad de Nueva York como mecánico de ascensores para la Autoridad de Vivienda de la Ciudad de Nueva York. Gracias a su dedicación ascendió a un puesto gerencial desde donde se convirtió en un mentor y maestro excepcional guiando a los nuevos aprendices y brindando una valiosa capacitación en el trabajo. Se sentía muy orgulloso de su labor y cultivó una excelente relación con colegas y amigos en diversas comunidades del Bronx. Al jubilarse, encontró una gran felicidad en las bendiciones sencillas de la vida, ya fuera en el jardín cultivando frutas en su patio trasero, haciendo arreglos en la casa o cuidando meticulosamente de su césped. Siempre estuvo disponible para ayudar a sus vecinos cada vez que lo necesitaban.

El espíritu de servicio de Alfonso se extendió profundamente en su comunidad. Como miembro fundador de la Iglesia Metodista Hispana en Brandon, sirvió fi elmente a su congregación durante muchos años. Recibía con calidez a las personas como ujier y coordinador de bienvenida de la iglesia, participaba en el grupo de hombres y trabajaba como voluntario en eventos con un corazón de siervo y un espíritu dispuesto.

Alfonso deja un legado de fuerza interior y gracia serena. Será recordado por su sonrisa cálida y acogedora, su profundo amor por su familia y su humilde devoción a su fe. Le sobreviven sus amadas hijas y sus esposos, juntos con sus queridas nietas. "Bien, buen siervo y fi el. Entra en el gozo de tu Señor." — Mateo 25:23

La velación se llevará a cabo en Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, Florida, el 4 de agosto de 2026, de 11 a.m. a 12 p.m.
