Amy was also the mother to the late Daniella Torres, whom she loved very much, and the proud Aunt of Priscyla Perez, Wilber Perez & Bella Sofia Perez. ❤️
Amy was the bright star of the family! Amy was loved by everyone. Amy had a contagious spirit and an innocent personality. Amy loved to talk to everyone, and it was easy for her to make friends.
Amy had a long life battle with Muscular Dystrophy since birth, but that never stopped her from learning how to ride a bicycle, working part-time at Taco Bell, dancing to her favorite Spanish Music, going shopping & traveling.
She loved volunteering at local schools in Hillsborough County, every time her Aunt Norma needed her in her classroom. Amy was delighted to make candy bags for the students on every occasion, especially Halloween and Easter. Amy was a graduate of East Bay HS in Gibsonton, FL.
Christmas was Amy's favorite holiday, taught by her loving mother. Amy loved to buy everyone a gift & carefully wrap each one. Amy has had a passion for doing Crossword books and a collection of pencils & pens. Amy loved to collect stuffed Teddy Bears the most. Amy loved it when William and Karen took her to build a Bear to make bears for her birthday; that smile she had would light up anyone's heart.
During her years of difficult mobility due to MD, Amy still loved to listen to Spanish Music by her favorite artists, such as Romeo Santos and Marc Anthony. Amy would get on the dance floor with her walker with the help of her cousin Monica Medina and her boyfriend Harvey Acosta.
She was also a big Disney fan & would drive a scooter all over Disney Springs! But when you think about Amy, her love for her family was always #1. Amy would remind her siblings, cousins & friends how much she loved them.
Amy was truly an Angel, brought to this world to teach us all about living no matter how difficult life can get. Amy shall be missed beyond mere words. To my sister Rosie, please take care of my baby, Aunt Norma is lost without her. ❤️
