ROONEY, Anita, 78, of Brandon passed away July 3, 2012. She was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and volunteered her time at church and with Meals On Wheels and Oasis in Seffner. She had a love of animals, dogs especially. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Rooney. She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Hyang Cha), Mark (Christina) and Timothy; daughters, Maureen McNamara (Rich), and Eileen Akers (Bruce); sister, Doris Arthur (Ted); and five grandchildren, Amanda and Mark Rooney and Cody, Carter and Chance Akers. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012 at Nativity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
