Barbara Louise Matthews

Barbara was born on March 27th, 1944, in Gary, Indiana, to Leonard and Rita Holder Spitz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Louis Spitz. Survivors include her husband, Dale Miller; brother, John (Mary Alice); sister-in-law, Bonnie Roehrborn (Mike); goddaughter, Erica Baker Stem; and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Brandon Elks Lodge 2383. Through her volunteer work with the Lodge, Barbara spent countless hours in the service of others, particularly in the care and comfort of our military veterans.

Barbara’s funeral Mass will be at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4450 County Rd 579, Seffner, FL 33584 on Wednesday, June 20th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Brandon Elks Charities, 800 Centennial Lodge Drive, Brandon, Florida 33510. A memorial service will be held at the Brandon Elks Lodge 2383 on Sunday, June 24, 2018, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
