Cecilia Perez

Cecilia Perez, age 84, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024; after battling 2 congestive heart failures and a massive stroke and operation to remove a huge blood clot that was removed she fought hard for months and in pain to get better but she passed away.

Cecilia was born September 10th 1939 in Aguada, Puerto Rico parents Abad & Jose Villanueva

She went to school in Puerto Rico but at the age of 16 she left Puerto Rico and moved to Brooklyn, NY

She worked at Signal Stat & Company for many years and Austin Productions before retiring as a homemaker.

In 1963 she met the love of her life Ernesto Perez Santiago and were married September 19th 1964 and going on to have 3 children Edwin, Evelyn and Richard.

After retiring in 1997 spent her time with family, loved going to church which always brought her joy and piece. She loved gardening and taking care of her plants and flowers that she loved so much. But a lot of her Joy was spending time and talking to her nieces Judith, Ana, Awilda and Nydia and all of her nieces kids Jackie, PJ, Manny, Izzy, Angelique and Jaime. Her grandkids that she had so much love for them from when they were born Brenna, Richie, Roman, Angel.

Cecilia was predeceased by Ernesto, Abad, Jose, Jaime, Berta, Marciala, Leocadio, Marcolina, Rosa, Celia, Merry, Lydia, Maria, Benito.

Cecilia is survived by her children Edwin, Evelyn, Richard and all of her nieces and grandkids.

A visitation for Cecilia will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 19, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A graveside service will occur Monday, February 19, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
